Support for schools, leaders and staff

Working in education is rewarding but also comes with unique challenges and big responsibilities.

Speaking to someone independent who is not involved in your school can provide a safe space to explore any issues allowing staff to bring their best selves to work.

Using a mixture of counselling, supervision and coaching skills I support those at different levels across the school community including:

  • Safeguarding / Pastoral staff - Working with young people and families and managing safeguarding concerns can be incredibly difficult and expose your staff to challenging situations. I provide a safe space to discuss their experiences and talk through the impact of what they have seen or heard. This can include information on boundary setting and self-care.

  • Teaching staff - Teaching is a demanding profession which can become even harder if your staff are struggling - from lack of confidence or conflict with colleagues to family responsibilities outside of school. I have worked with staff experiencing issues in the workplace and those who are having difficulties at home to support them, allow them to get the best out of their relationships and enable them to stay in work.

  • School Leaders - Being responsible for a whole school community can bring stresses from difficult staff conversations to interactions with families and safeguarding concerns. I work with those on leadership teams to provide a confidential space to discuss the unique challenges of being in school leadership. This can be especially useful to new leaders and those working in smaller schools or teams.

I feel like I can manage my workload and am not nervous on Monday mornings. Thank you for putting me back together again.
