I’m Cath. I’m a person centred counsellor working from a cosy room in Glossop, Derbyshire where you will always find the kettle on.
I am constantly amazed by the strength shown by my clients and recognise that coming to counselling during a time of struggle is a massive step and a courageous act. I feel privileged to be able to walk alongside you for a part of your story and to work towards your goals at your own pace.
I offer open-ended, person centred counselling with a warm, genuine and non-judgemental attitude. I have experience of working with clients from varied backgrounds covering many different issues including bereavement and loss, stress, divorce, workplace bullying, low self esteem, LGBTQ+ issues and family disagreements. I also worked with frontline NHS staff during the pandemic.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such, I am bound by their ethical framework.
If you think I’m the counsellor for you find out more about fees and location or contact me with any queries.
“I found our sessions to be both helpful and enjoyable, and that is really special. I also appreciated how we could talk about things that were challenging and frustrating, as well as things that were positive and going well, and learn from both.”
